Great story, fun game play.

Day one DLC that should have been part of the core game.

Game Info

GAME NAME: Mass Effect 3

DEVELOPER(S): BioWare

PUBLISHER(S): Electronic Arts

PLATFORM(S): PC

GENRE(S): RPG

RELEASE DATE(S): March 6, 2012

The reapers are back and the invasion of the galaxy has begun.  The Alliance and it’s allies are caught completely off guard. Despite Shephards warnings the races of the galaxy are unprepared and are being decimated.  You are tasked with forming an Alliance among the races of the galaxy in order to launch a counter attack.

As in Mass Effect 2, you are able to import your saved character from the previous game.  If you don’t still have your previous saves, don’t worry, you will be able to use the included “Save Game Editor” to recreate your Commander Shepard.

Combat in this game is third person cover based.  You’ll move from cover point to cover point while taking down enemies.  As in the previous installments of the game you can pause during combat to issue orders to your squad mates, line up your shots, and use your abilities.

Graphics and sound have been stepped up slightly from previous versions of the game but don’t look for this one to stress your system.   I didn’t play the game until after the “Extended Cut” DLC was added so was not disappointed in the ending.  I do feel that the Protheane DLC, which was available on release, should have been part of the core game release.

Overall I enjoyed my time in Mass Effect 3.
